Poetry and Short Stories
Poems
The art of the written word has become antiquated; this art however still warms the soul and stirs up our emotive selves.
Some of these I am personally connected with and have a deep attachment to.
Shaped as been awarded with poem of the Month
Shaped
Cranky and decrepit like a redwood
Having years of weather shape the outlook
Tall and upright draw taut by the sun
Yet gnarled and ragged try to catch rays
You have shape my determined destiny
Made it difficult for ours to follow suit
Bolted my heart with your essence and love
Change the way I stand up straight
A new one joined the ranks of me
Or rather a new attempt to alter my stance
Has blown in, showered me with all of you
Yet the intensity is not one that compares.
All I love and was taught to love
Now seems so vitally important than before
The picture then was close too close for me
Now all I desire is the desire that has been removed
